Raw Grain-Free Granola

Our physical therapist turned us on to this combination of raw nuts and seeds many years ago. It has become a real staple in our households. Our husbands affectionately refer to this blend as horse foodJ Feel free to make your own rendition based on your favorite nuts and seeds, and adorn with seasonal fruits that you love.  We make a batch and keep it in the freezer year round. This way, your power breakfast can be assembled in a couple minutes.

Ingredients:

Basic Nut/Seed Mixture

1 C organic raw pumpkin seeds

1 C raw sunflower seeds

1 C organic raw walnuts

1 C organic raw almonds

1 C organic hemp seeds

 

Shopping List:

1 C organic raw pumpkin seeds

1 C raw sunflower seeds

1 C organic raw walnuts

1 C organic raw almonds

1 C organic hemp seeds

dried organic coconut

almonds for almond milk

fresh fruit of choice

 

Directions:

Place all the ingredients in a food processor and pulse several times until the nuts and seeds are coarsely chopped, about 5-7 seconds each time. Store the mixture in a glass container in the freezer.

 

 

Daily toppings

2 spoonfuls of dried organic coconut

about 1/2 C almond milk

1 cup fresh fruit of choice
For Assembly:

Place about 1/3 cup of the nut/seed mix in a bowl. Top with coconut and almond milk to taste. Top with fruit of choice. Enjoy.
