Tumeric Honey Latte

We are smitten with this symphony of exotic favors and love knowing that we are sipping and savoring our way to better health. If inflammation is the source of most disease, and turmeric is a powerful anti-inflammatory, bring on this potion, baby! It’s quick and easy and if you want to amp up the health benefits, use Manuka honey, known for it’s anti-viral capabilities.
2 C water
1/3 C coconut milk
1 Tbsp finely peeled and chopped turmeric (see note)
1 Tbsp raw honey
11/2 tsp finely chopped ginger
1/4 tsp dried turmeric
pinch ground cinnamon
pinch ground pepper
pinch ground cardamom (optional)
pinch sea salt
Small piece turmeric, or dried turmeric
Small piece ginger root
virgin coconut oil
Combine all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until smooth. Taste and adjust honey and seasonings to suit. Warm before serving.
Golden milk can be made 3-5 days ahead and stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Note: If you don’t have fresh turmeric on hand, double the amount of dried turmeric.
